Broome enjoys mainly dry, sunny days during the peak months of May to October, making it a perfect escape from the winter chills of Southern Australia, with an average daily temperature of 30C Make sure you pack your swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent and a good book. Evenings can be cooler at this time of year, with an average overnight temperature of 16C however it can drop as low as 6C, so warm clothing is recommended.
The tropical summer is typified by humid days and balmy nights, with cooling rainfall, spectacular lightning shows and superb sunsets. Tropical Cyclones are a seasonal natural hazard that may occur between November and April. Should this happen during your stay, please contact your hotel reception staff for instructions and information.
For 3 days of each month between March and October, Broome experiences a natural phenomenon known as “Staircase to the Moon”. Caused by the reflection of a full moon at low tide over the mudflats of Roebuck Bay, this is a “must do” if it occurs during your stay. Viewing is best from Town Beach or the Mangrove Hotel.

Day 1: Arrive in beautiful Broome and settle in to your chosen accommodation. The afternoon is yours to do as you wish, make sure to spend your first evening enjoying sunset down on Cable Beach.
Day 2: This morning you will be collected for your Broome Sightseeing Tour for an entertaining introduction to Broome. Visit the towns most interesting and beautiful icons such as Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, Matso’s Brewery, Japanese Cemetery, Sun Pictures, Streeter’s Jetty and Pearl Luggers. At the end of the tour, you’ll be taken to Cable Beach to join a sunset camel ride. After sunset, you’ll have the option to take the tour bus back to your hotel or stay by the beach for a few cocktails at Zanders or the Sunset Bar.
Day 3: Awaken to the refreshing smell of frangipanis.Have a dip in the pool before taking the local bus or walking to Matso’s Brewery were you can enjoy the Lunch experience (not included). The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish; wander through Chinatown, relax on the beach, meander through local art galleries, visit a day spa, enjoy a tasty meal, the choices are endless.
Day 4: Today is at your own leisure. There are plenty of things to do, join a guided kayak tour, relax on the beach with a good book, stroll through the many pearl emporiums, hire a bike and explore Broome, or catch a movie at Sun Pictures.
Day 5: Bid farewell to the outback as you pack up, head home or onto your next fabulous destination.
