Extended Tours Around Kununurra
As the gateway to the East Kimberley, Kununurra is the perfect base to explore the region and all it has to offer.
Our extended tours around Kununurra and the surrounding region are jam-packed full of rich culture, magnificent landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Coach and 4WD tours take you through the outback and around the coast to see both sides of the landscape in this distinct region. Visit the Bungle Bungle Range at Purnululu National Park, El Questro and Home Valley Station as well as other sites further afield.
While you’re in the Kununurra region, be sure to spend some time in Kununurra itself – being right by the Ord River and Lake Argyle, it’s the perfect opportunity to join a cruise and spot birds and other wildlife and marvel at the splendour of the lake. For shorter tours around Kununurra see our range of Kununurra Day Tours here.
Tour in the wet season or dry season?
If you’re planning to travel on a Kununurra tour during the dry season (April through October), be sure to book well in advance and tours book up quickly during this peak period. Those travelling in the wet season, while the weather is less favourable, will be rewarded with incredible tropical thunderstorms and plenty of wildlife around Lake Argyle.
