Day Tours around Kununurra
As the heart of the East Kimberley, Kununurra offers plenty of day tours and trips to explore the region. You can cruise the Ord River; take a scenic flight to the iconic Bungle Bungle Ranges and the Argyle Diamond Mine; or join a 4WD tour to El Questro Wilderness Park. With expert guides that are Kimberley locals, you’ll learn about the region, spot wildlife and gain insight into Aboriginal art and culture.
There is so much rich culture and so much to see and do here and in the surrounding area – if you have longer to spend in Kununurra it’s also worth checking out our range of extended Kununurra tours!
When is the best time to tour around Kununurra?
You can expect all tours to run from April or May through to October, but some tours will continue to run all year round. Like the rest of the Kimberley, Kununurra has two distinct seasons – the wet season in May to October, and the dry season in November to April. If planning travel in the dry season, be sure to book in advance, while those travelling in the wet season will be rewarded with incredible tropical thunderstorms and plenty of wildlife around Lake Argyle.
